I took all four of my bunnies (Gunsmoke, Triss, Tristen, and Misty Cloud) to the 4-H fair yesterday for showing…I also brought other stuff but more of that later….anyhow, Tristen and Triss were up for sale, and Tristen was the only one that wasn’t being shown. Up on the table Misty Cloud, Triss, and Gunsmoke all took first place ribbons, (which meant they had to go up again to compete for BOB (best of breed) )
We found out that Misty Cloud was a boy…not a girl! We hastly renamed him, Mr. Cloud…it’s kinda close!
Anyhow, Gunsmoke took BOB and Triss took Best Opposite Sex (this meaning, if a girl is picked for BOB then a guy rabbit gets what Triss got….get it?)
I decided I was going to keep Triss, and sell Mr. Cloud and Tristen (cuse you can’t have a lot of boys for breeding)
Gunsmoke had to go up with all of the BOB for BOS (best of show). Well, being the great rabbit he is, he snagged that, and stole all of the ribbons for the day!
So as far as rabbits go it was a great day, lots of prizes, I sold Mr. Cloud very quickly! He’s just to sweet and cute not to be taken! Tristen is on hold for someone, but it might not work. My business cards got snatched up, and I have to people on a waiting list for my fall litter.
I also entered some things in florticulter, art, and a outdoor rabbit hutch I built in Woodworking.
The rabbit hutch got champion, one of my art pieces did too, and I got enough point in Florticulter so that I also one a prize.
I have to go back to Frying Pan Park this afternoon to pick up my rabbits and awards!
