We went down to Flordia from January 1st – January 5th.
Driving down was a pain :P but nice views. ;)
We stayed at a rather touristy hotel with horrific internet connection, but it didn’t
really matter, cuse we spent most of our time at Universal Studios Park.
It had two ”islands”. One of them had more shows and tours and things and the
other was the roller coaster section.
I did/saw:
Shrek 4-D (it was really cool, cuse the characters flew in your face and you got
water on your cheeks, and during one part where a bunch of spiders got dropped
onto your legs, they turned on air so it really felt like it…plus the seats moved.
Jaws- the little touring boat thingy…it was kinda cheesy but still pretty good.
They said we were going to get soaked, but I didn’t even get misted.
Fear Factor - it’s a live show where they got 18 or older people from the park
and made them ”face their fears”. The main part itself was more stunts, but
during one part a women had to let five black scorpians on her head.
Horror Make-up Show - was hilarous…that’s all I can say
Terminator 4- - kinda like Shrek..except they also had fog that came and
surrounded you. you couldn’t see the person sitting next to you.
Revenge of the Mummy - was the only roller coaster that we went on and
we did that only cuse we didn’t know it was a roller coaster. We all are quite fond
of that trilogy so we thought it was like a tour or something, but oh no…it was a
really fast roller coaster that had like, live fire and mist
At the end, it stops super fast, and then the little animated voice starts saying,
“Thanks and have a nice-”
And then it takes you off again, while the mummy says, ”It’s not half over yet!”
Which was true.
It was really fun, and the only roller coaster I’ve enjoyed…of course, Hope and
Dad had their eyes closed the entire time…they also snapped a picture of us and
then sell it to you for a ton of money…but we got it anyway ;) so next time you’re
around ask to see it.
We only had time to do that much on our first day, so our next day was:
Men in Black, Alien Attack
It was like lazer tag, but they keep you spinning in cars, and you have to shot
at the little aliens across the street. It was awesomely fun, and our car won both
time we played! =D
Then we went over to the other island- the island of adventure…it was all roller coasters in one section and nobody except James wanted to go on them, and then he didn’t want to go on them by himself, so we didn’t go on them.
We went further along until we saw White Water Rafting, now, we’d already
gone on Jaws, where it said we were going to be soaked, so we ignored the
laughing attendant and got into a raft. Then we took off.
Some kind people had paid to spray us with little water guns as we went by, and
we got a little wet, throughout the course of the ride, we got soaked, and when it
was almost record cold like it was, it isn’t cool to get soaked…so we got off, with
the still laughing attendants and went to the Jurassic Park section.
They had another water ride, but only James dared it, (we was *slightly* smart)
after that Dad got us hot coco to warm up and we went and watched a stunt show
called the 8th voyage of Sinbad. That was really cool, they did amazing stunts
and light people on fire, etc…they dropped people into lakes (I felt their pain) and
blew things up…it was very cool.
Then we went on Escape from the Lost City…tour…-too complicated to explain
but had some awesome things, just ask me next to you see/email me why don’t you?
Then we went back to the other island re-did some of our lives and ended up
leaving about 5
On Friday (yes, it’s Friday now) we went over to Datona Beach for a little bit and
then drove up to Stone Mountain, Georgia…on Saturday we saw Stone Mountain
which is very cool mainly cuse it’s confederate ;)
it’s huge, so huge in fact, that a person can stand inside the ear of one of
the horses and still have plenty of room … (pictures coming later)
Then we drove back home, and so concludes our vacation.
I posted. be happy ;)
