Another poem for class . . . opinions welcome. I wrote it in 10 minutes earlier this morning so I don’t mind if you give it hate mail. xD

It’s written Terza Rima like Dante, with the rhyme scheme – A,B,A – B,C,B – C,D,C – D-E,D

Darkness swarms around my head

A terror fills me, uninvited

A starless night without an end

I only wish it could be lighted

Light faded colors come in view

Above my head, a sunbeam sighted

The hues, they shimmer, like the dew

A bright orange flame burns in my eyes

The darkness starts to fade to blue

A bird’s song fills the murky skies

My being calms and soon is settled

A day’s begun, one more sunrise
