a poem I did for a Shakespearean Sonnet Contest. This is suppose to be in the same rhyme scheme of a Shakespeare sonnet with the same basic idea throughout the entire poem . . . opinions always welcome

Thine eyes like mirrors captured mine,
Thy smile flashed fair across thy face.
Our souls around each other twined
Thy body poised with perfect grace.
Thou caught my heart in your ensnare.
Thou were my world, my life, my sun.
Thy gaze entrapped, left me to stare.
Each day that passed, you’d me undone.
Death comes to all that wait too long.
Love bears all well but death’s embrace.
Your passing could not be prolonged.
My tears for you, are they disgrace?
Long years I wait on earth alone,
Until at last I follow you home.

Wow this is sad lol
