Darkness cover the pale, cold moon
And stirs not a soul outside
For darkness covers the cold, stone heart
In which the dragon resides
The beast knows naught of peace and joy
Or happiness or love
His mind consumed by treasure and gold
And nothing that’s above
Down in his lair he rests alone
And snarls at all others
None bother the creature in the cave
for fear they cannot smother
The land around the mountain black
Burned in huge fits of wrath
The charcoal trees chip in the wind
And follow in a path
The silent night seems to not end
Though all outside would wish it
The golden dragon waits inside
Until he leaves his pit
Darkness cover the pale, cold moon
And stirs not a soul outside
For darkness covers the cold, stone heart
In which the dragon resides

Definetly a work in progress . . . I might redo this over the weekend. I like the idea but not where it’s going.

I like it
of course you do . . .
