The darkness has found me, long has it sought
To bind me inside and it’s will to impart
Now in the dark, I wait for an answer
Lies spin around, whirling like dancers
I once feared the darkness but now just the light
Eager awaiting to see in the night
What light hides all day and covers in mist
Day brings no truth, it only will twist
Light does bring beauty and beauty is fair
But beauty’s not truth, and on this I’ll swear
Darkness may blind but it shows us the truth
Our eyes just deceive us and bring out our youth
I once feared the darkness but now just the light
Darkness can show me, but day is too bright
To show all the secrets, we need to relearn
It’s truth that I seek, and for truth that I yearn
Some stay in the light, too scared to descend
But then they won’t live, won’t exist in the end
Night gives all the answers to the questions you’ll ask
Darkness permits you to take off your mask
I once feared the darkness but now just the light
I’ve gone through the fire and finished my fight
I’ve got all the answers that I’ll ever need
Come down below? Can you follow my lead?
The dark stops the time and waits for my cue
Stay here a while, till you know what is true
The light lies like snakes and covers so much
Embrace now the darkness, feel now it’s touch
I once feared the darkness but now just the light

This is my opinion of what many people go through. They are twisted and convinced the darkness holds the real truth, instead of the light.
I don’t hold this opinion, but the idea struck me when I read this . . .
