Sleep. Movies. Friends. Plans. Trips. Decided against tumblr.
So many thoughts and ideas going through my head.

My computer crashed on (thursday?) which completely rearranged my plans to finish a novel over break (since I lost everything on there…) but I don’t actually feel disappointed. Which is a good indication that trying to force myself to write was a bad idea. I only seem able to write well when I’m incredibly dysfunctional. Good to know. So for now I’ll focus on drawing and photography and reading and being with my friends.

Got into my first, and only, college I applied to so I’m all set on that front but for some reason, I just don’t feel that excited about it.

Christmas is never a big “deal” around here since we don’t get our presents till New Years but it was refreshing Sunday and I’m looking forward to my last week of break. More photography plans, presents to mail, friends to hang out with. I’m excited that academics next semester should be easier since my hardest class is now over so I may have more time to focus on my passion – any type of art.

It’s a completely teen writer blog for teenage girls. It started off pretty bad when my best friend and I got “seperated” (by her moving) and wanted something to do that would keep us in touch. Last year, I tried to regularly update the site but I felt like I was the only one who could consistently post and so it fell apart.
But this year? Man, this year is nice!
We have four regular columnists, with the site updated five days a week and possibly more (depending on guest writers.) Each post is double-checked before being put on the site and it covers a lot of topics – photography, devotions, fashion, pop culture and just randomness!
We really want to get the site promoted though so tell everyone you know!

Every summer I’m wrong.

This summer is no exception – crazy busy with little to no stops.
My first summer activity was speech nationals, which was, the same as last year, awesome.
I traveled straight from nationals to Texas for my exchange program orientation. I went to Costa Rica for 29 days. Amazing experience, still need to write up an official post on that so stay tuned.
I got back in town late Saturday night, July 16. Went to church, opened birthday presents and reconnected with my bestest buddy on Sunday. The next two weeks I babysit seven hours each day Monday through Friday. Last week was my week off which I spent preparing for the 4-H fair I always attend. It went awesome – really fun, did well and even had some friends come by. A post should be coming about just that too.
This week had been my laziest week so far but I’m still keeping busy – running around doing errands, started drivers ed, DRIVING around vienna (getting old, people) and just picked up some books on teaching yourself to sew. Right now I’m working on a new sketch while I wait for some bunnies to be dropped off to be petsat. I’ve always started college visits – gone to William and Mary and heading to UVA on Saturday.
Life’s crazy and I’m busy but I’m going to get some good posts going soon.

Also – my camera died. :( It was a beautiful one that my brother gave me so if you have any suggestions – please let me know.

When people ask me what I did, I have to pause for a minute and think but it was still awesome.
I was sick, however, which was no fun and I did paint a rather large mural (hence the title)

Yes, old paint containers will crack when you grab and squeeze them and spray powdery white dust (instead of thick black paint) right into your face. Interesting. I learn something every day…
